My elevator pitch? I love words.
Words on the page, words on the stage, writing them, reading them, speaking them out loud, debating their merits, and bringing some back from the “dead”. They’re kind of my thing.
I spent 12+ years teaching and living as an international expat, with stops in Beijing, Dubai, Shanghai, & Guangzhou, and travel to more places than I can reasonably list here. Dad to a sailor in the Royal Canadian Navy, a toddler, an infant daughter, and a Portuguese water dog named Edwin. Lover of funny things & people. Oh, and craft beer.
I’ve been a voracious reader for as long as I can remember. My love affair with writing started with a short story contest in grade four, the winner attending a workshop with my favourite author at the time, Eric Wilson (anyone remember the Tom & Liz Austen mysteries?).
I came in second.

Who is this guy?
I’m a former high school English literature, journalism, and drama teacher. Current full-time writer, stand-up comedian, and improv performer. A big switch? You betcha. But I adhere to the philosophy that cool things happen outside of our comfort zone.
tell me i’m funny
My first set at Absolute Comedy in Toronto on January 29, 2020, including the main reasons I hate Tinder, and the challenges of dating in your 40s.

But what can i do for you?
Because that’s the million dollar question, right?
I can share my credentials (BFA in acting, B.Ed in English lit, American Writers & Artists Inc. copywriting program, Introduction to Creative Writing at The University of Guelph) and my experience (12 years teaching at various levels, 13 years as a full-time ghostwriter-for-hire), but that doesn’t give you an answer.
I can provide the words you need to grow your brand and spread awareness: sales letter, copy for your website, landing page, email series, or content for your blog or newsletter.
I take the pressure off, allowing you to focus on other areas of your business. Your expertise may not be words and writing. Mine is.
And I want to help. As a former teacher, I can get your message across in a way that is understood by everyone.
